FIRST DEGREE REIKI CLASS
Connie Baldwin, a Reiki Master/Teacher since 2003 and a Reiki practitioner since 1998, is offering a First Degree Reiki Class:
What is Reiki? (pronounced ray-kee)
Reiki is an ancient method of hands-on healing that has been used in the modern world for about 100 years. It is simple to learn and can be done by anyone (even children). It is gentle and non-invasive. This soft, yet powerful, approach is often reported to aid relaxation, reduce pain and increase energy. It can be used before and after surgery to help calm anxiety and speed recovery. Reiki supports the body's natural ability to heal. It helps to create balance and harmony. It works to assist each person to achieve what is required to mend on all levels. By working on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual parts of us, Reiki is used to promote personal healing and quality of life.
There are three levels of Reiki where the student is initiated by a Reiki Master into each level. Each level represents a deeper commitment and is considered to be a gift to one's self. The levels are:
- First Degree - learn to treat yourself and others.
- Second Degree - learn three sacred symbols used in Reiki for healing and learn distance treatments.
- Third Degree - learn to teach Reiki and allow it to guide your life.
This First Degree class is for anyone interested in learning techniques for self-healing and helping others. In the class, students will learn the form for treating themselves and others as well as the story of Reiki, the precepts/principles of Reiki, receive four initiations, have hands-on practice and much more. Students will receive written information and a certificate of completion for First Degree Reiki.

Dada Nabhaniilananda
Dada Nabhaniilananda - yoga monk, meditation teacher, musician & writer
Acharya Nabhaniilananda normally called "Dada", is a senior meditation instructor of Ananda Marga, an authority on Yoga philosophy, a published author and a popular musician.
Dada plays melodic folk rock in the style of Simon & Garfunkel or Cat Stevens. He sings about spiritual experiences and ecological or human rights issues, and derives many of his ideas from myths and legends of different cultures. His early musical influences include folk singers Donovan and Don Mclean, and 70's bands Yes, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Genesis & Santana. Dada's immersion in eastern mysticism adds a deeper dimension to his music, giving it a lasting quality.
Dada is currently based in California, where he is writing new songs, working on two new books, and touring in the US.
