Why do you desire ordination?
How do you believe this will impact your life?
What do you hope to learn from this experience?
The new class will begin in January 2012.

The school is open to individuals desiring either ordination or self-enrichment.

COST: A nominal fee of $100. a month to cover expenses and a love offering will be taken at the end of the month.

ORDINATION: Anyone desiring Ordination will be required to attend every class, fulfill the required learning assignments, and participate in UCFSL by volunteering their time and talents as it pertains to curriculum and the needs of the church. At the end of each quarter, the student will be evaluated and given feedback on their progress.

After the classes are completed at the end of the year, and all requirements are fulfilled, the student will participate in an Ordination Ceremony at UCFSL. Final Ordination is at the discretion of the Senior Minister.

Students desiring ordination are expected to fulfill all class assignments, attend all classes, and attend and participate in Sunday services at UCFSL, as well as special events that occur. It is essential each student develop a Unity-based philosophy in order to maintain the integrity of the title Unity Minister.

SELF-ENRICHMENT: Anyone may participate in the classes to enrich their spiritual and educational life. Attendance to all classes and lesson completion assignment is not required for those seeking self-enrichment only.

TEXT: All text books will be offered either in the bookstore or at class. Handouts will be emailed to the student for each to individually print out. Each student must come with a Bible (preferably Lamsa's Bible, Revised Standard Edition or New Revised Standard Edition) for their own study purposes. It is also required that each student purchase a Unity Metaphysical Bible Dictionary for assignment completion.

If a required book is not immediately available, the student may purchase the book and have it ordered for them through the church bookstore or order online through a site such as Amazon.

CLASSES: All formal classes will be held on Mondays from 7-9PM.  The student will be required to attend special events as they pertain to their ministerial education.

Ordination students who miss a class must provide an approved and suitable reason to the instructor and a makeup may be allowed.

Students, please bring pen and notebook to all classes. Anyone needing to purchase/order a Unity Metaphysical Bible Dictionary may do so at the first class or online prior to the first class.

The forum for classes will be discussion, lecture, and/or interactive.

All ministerial students will sign a commitment form at the start of the year and a Code of Ethics prior to Ordination.

All Ministerial graduates are expected and required to follow the Code of Ethics or risk having their license/ordination rescinded.
